On the first Saturday of the month, the Writer’s Guild Foundation Shavelson-Web Library is now open from 1pm to 5pm. For those who work a 9 – 5 job, this is great news. The Writers Guild Foundation collects produced film, television and radio scripts, DVDs, books, periodicals, videos and other materials related to screenwriting. Many of the scripts have received Oscars, Emmmy’s, and the Golden Globe awards.
One of the best ways to learn how to write your spec script is by reading a lot of scripts. The Writer’s Guild Foundation is well known as the place to go for all your screenwriting needs; from the classics to the summer’s great movies, such as: THE CONJURING and STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, as well as early drafts of classics like BLADE RUNNER and THE BIG CHILL.  You will also be able to reference teleplays for hot shows like THE MINDY PROJECT, HOMELAND and ELEMENTARY.

This is a quote from the Writer’s Guild Foundation: “You know how good we are at getting the scripts you want to read. You wanted MINDY, and we got the whole first season. Same deal with ELEMENTARY. And we've got whole shelves full of incredible shows like NEW GIRL and DOWNTON ABBEY. We've done it again, too. We just got the whole first season of UNDER THE DOME, and we'll be making each script available just as soon as its episode airs. We know, we know - you want to read 'em all. But we promised the writers we'd keep their secrets safe.”

The Writers Guild Foundation is located at 7000 W 3rd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90048, Telephone (323) 782-4692

This is a good news for all readers out there! Writer’s Guild Foundation Shavelson-Web Library is now open for the public and this just made me happy. That means more books are up for free reading. I will definitely visit the library soon. By the way, what could be the reason why there are some members who left Writer’s Guild Foundation? It's a sad thing of course but it's a personal choice for some which is not covered our opinions.
